On Tuesday, October 26, 2021 The Mentoring Partnership of South Western Pennsylvania hosted its bi-annual Magic of Mentoring event at Heinz Field. Since 1995, The Mentoring Partnership has been committed to equipping and mobilizing a community of mentoring champions that have helped young people feel known, recognized and cared for.
This year, PHASE 4 Learning Center was able to be physically present and in the building to support 5 local organizations to receive The Excellence in Mentoring Program Award. These are given to organizations or schools that excel in providing high quality mentoring experiences for young people throughout Western Pennsylvania. Douglas McPhail and William Strickland also received The Thieman Award given to those individuals who exemplify the passion, commitment and drive to enhance quality mentoring.
Our Mentor Coordinator, Gina Monardo and Aaron McKinnon attended the event, representing PHASE 4 Learning Center and The Best Buy Teen Tech Center as we are everyday mentor centers for youth. The evening was a success in celebration of mentoring.
