Dr. Suica-Reed, Innovation in Education Award Recipient

As President and CEO of Phase 4, Dr. Suica-Reed embodies a commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity in education by leading the non-profit to serve over 18,000 at-risk students statewide since 2003 at 4 PHASE 4 centers with a 98% graduation rate of seniors from their own school district and a 99% placement rate in specific career employment, higher education, and/or U.S. Military enlistment.

Through programming at Phase 4 Learning Center and partnerships, have allowed students to have access to state-of-the art technology that helps level the playing field by creating TEQuity for teens who otherwise might have restricted, limited or sometimes nonexistent access to technology that others have readily available. This professional-grade technology lets teens make, create and innovate while also learning key tech skills that can be used in school, careers and beyond.

For these and so many other reasons, Dr. Suica-Reed was awarded the 2022 Norman Gusky Innovation in Education Award. We celebrate her accomplishments and continuous commitment to changing lives.
