There are lots of exciting opportunities occurring at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center in East Liberty. We have just started our fourth year of the C2C Pathways Program. C2C Pathways is a program designed to teach youth technology and work readiness skills through a project-based model. Youth who are eligible also get a paid summer internship through this program.
We are also excited to announce that we are partnering with three new national partners this year. The National Partners are
Fresh Films https://freshfilms.org/ - Fresh Films creates films, TV shows and documentaries while training future filmmakers in all aspects of film. Youth collaborate on-set rotating through every film position – from camera and sound, to editing and effects – gaining technical and workplace skills. This eight-month program takes place every Thursday at the Teen Tech Center from 4:00-6:30PM.
SEED SPOT https://seedspot.org/- a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting all social entrepreneurs creating a product, service, or technology that improves lives or makes the world a better place. They support entrepreneurs by surrounding them with the right access to resources, mentors, business fundamentals, community partners, capital sources, and anything they need to succeed. Have you ever thought about being a young entrepreneur? The Seed Spot program will take you through a curriculum that can make dreams reality. This program is slated to start in January 2022.
Creating IT Futures https://www.creatingitfutures.org/- This program is for teens 12-15 who are interested in working together to learn robotics and coding. The Creating IT Futures program will run eight weeks in the spring of 2022.
