Phase 4 WINGS serves students grades 6 – 12 to address academic, emotional, social circumstances on an individual basis. P4 WINGS offers each student the opportunity to experience academic success, explore future opportunities for a career pathway, participate in after-school programming at the Phase 4 Best Buy Teen Tech Center, and apply for summer employment through the City and County Learn and Earn Program operated by Phase 4.
The Phase 4 Alternative Education (AEDY) program serves at-risk students from grades 6 – 12, addressing the academic, social, behavioral, and future needs of each individual student.
Enrolled students from multiple districts attend classes at Phase 4 centers to complete required high school coursework. Twice awarded full Middle States Accreditation. Middle States declared: “Phase 4 is changing the regional landscape in education.” Phase 4 is the only Private Provider in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to hold full Middle States Accreditation.
Basic Components of the AEDY Program:
Phase 4 utilizes a proven and highly successful blended model of academic instruction that strictly adheres to all Pennsylvania Department of Education standards and guidelines. Our academic model includes the Edgenuity on-line system, one-on-one and small group face-to-face instruction, adult mentoring, certified counselors and a Drug and Alcohol counselor at every site. Our model offers students the opportunity to experience academic success, career readiness training and adult mentoring and guidance in making positive life choices and changes.
One-on-one instructional support, mentoring, and counseling for students Ten-to-one student to teacher ratio Computer-assisted, Pennsylvania Department of Education-aligned curriculum, Strong community partnerships and stakeholder relationships, Outreach services for students and their families, Employment training, internships, and higher education preparation.
Phase 4 Alternative Education Programs operate in our Baldwin and Shadyside locations in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and our Harrisburg Mall location in Eastern Pennsylvania.
